What will you get from me that will differ from seeing other nutrition professionals?

Dietitians are registered, regulated healthcare professionals who are ethically and legally bound to offer only evidence based advice. All information you get will be based on the best available scientific research and practical experience.

You may have seen a dietitian through the NHS during your cancer treatment. I am one of those dietitians. I currently support individuals with nutrition whilst they are in Intensive Care following cancer operations. What we do well is supporting individuals when they are in health crisis related to their nutrition. However, unfortunately, it is unlikely that you will be able to work with an NHS dietitian for longer term concerns. My private practice is here to help you for as long as you need.

I WILL USE OUR FREE INTRODUCTORY SESSION TO THOROUGHLY EXPLORE THE STRUGGLES THAT YOU ARE HAVING WITH FOOD OR BODY IMAGE AND CREATE AN INDIVIDUALISED, STEP BY STEP PLAN OF HOW WE CAN WORK TOGETHER TO SOLVE THESE PROBLEMS

- I am worried that I am not able to follow dietary guidelines because of how I am feeling

What Tools Do I Use To Help

- Cognitive behavioural techniques to explore your feelings about changes to your body following a cancer diagnosis
- Counselling to help you feel confident to make food choices that are right for you
- Advice on dietary alterations to address specific side effects

What I Won't Do

- Reel off basic healthy eating advice that you already know inside out!
- Excessive focus on weight; your weight may have increased or decreased. I prefer to focus on how you are feeling in your body, what nutrients you are taking in and whether you are physically able to do the things that are important to you.
